Berkshire Environmental Educators Network

Please mark your calendar for the Berkshire Environmental Educator Network's (BEEN) annual Educator's Conference on Tuesday, November 15th from 8:30-2:30 at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield, MA. The conference will focus on how to integrate Science into the Math and ELA/Literacy Common Core standards. More information and a call for presenters will follow in the next few weeks. We are especially excited about having teachers whose students presented at YES lead workshops, so start thinking about your workshop plans now!

This annual conference promotes better communication between non-profits specializing in the environment, and teachers who want to integrate environmental topics into their math and science curricula. It is a working conference where participants have the opportunity to share best practices, review available resources, improve links between practitioners, and plan the Youth Environmental Summit.

8th Annual Environmental Educators Conference

Registration is open for the Berkshire Environmental Educator Network's (BEEN) 8th Annual Educators' Conference.  The conference will take place at Berkshire Community College on November 15, 2011 from 8:15-2:30.  We have had a workshop change, so please use the workshop description brochure and form only from this e-mail and not previous ones!  If you have already registered, I will contact you directly if you are affected by the change.
We have some incredible workshops lined up (see the attached workshop brochure for descriptions), so it will be a great day to learn while networking with other teachers and environmental education providers from throughout Berkshire County.  Workshop space is limited, so register early.  The absolute last day for registration is Friday, October 28th. The conference is free and lunch can be purchased at the BCC Cafeteria or you can bring your own.
